Good, clean room. Sadly in need of updating but the water in the shower was hot, the bed comfortable and great location with easy access to trains. Breakfast was good, we ate there once and then chose to explore NYC. Would recommend for family visits. As it’s a kosher hotel though I recommend having a general understanding of the religion, be respectful of the culture.
This place is not as discribed the front desk staff namely Gazile or whatever her name is she very rude same as her manager JUDY.
I have no problem with people and their beliefs and religions because that’s there right. But you don’t have a business establishment and advertising free breakfast and then upon arrival you are being told that there is no breakfast because the owners are Jews and it is Shabo. I respect that but that has nothing to do with me. The only friendly person at that place was the lovely lady that cleans. God bless her! I would not recommend anyone to stay at that so called hotel. The woman Judy did not want to give me my money back. On a scale from 0-9 they get a ZERO. They really need to step out and explore a bit of the world and get the concept of how and what it is to accommodate people and making them feel comfortable and welcomed.
Do not go there if you are a Jew then you will fit right in. But for a black person you are scorned.
Everything seemed excellent to me, very good attention, in fact on the day of check out they gave us the possibility of leaving our suitcases in the lobby while we went for our last tour of New York and a few steps from the subway, the neighborhood was very quiet and without No problem, we were 11 people with 5 children and everyone was very happy, we threatened to return in the summer hahahahaha
More concerning was the behavior of the staff. I felt mistreated and psychologically distressed during my interactions with them. They seemed dismissive and unprofessional, leaving me feeling undervalued and disrespected.
Communication was a significant issue as well. Each time I tried to reach out, I was put on hold for an excessive amount of time—anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes—which is unacceptable.
To add to the frustration, I experienced overcharging on my bill, leading to a tedious process of chasing them for a refund. It was an exhausting and disappointing experience overall.
I hope the management takes these issues seriously and implements changes to improve the quality of service and staff professionalism. Customers should feel valued and respected during their stay, and these issues need prompt attention and resolution."
The hotel needs refurbishing, as it looks a bit tired, but rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The only down side with my room was that it was on the ground floor, toward the road, and there was constant noise until late. Large continental breakfast, with great kitchen staff (heads up to the mashgiach who multi tasks and is proud of his work, both in kashrus and in taking care of hotel customers so that they have always food to choose from).
None.
I was attempting to stay here this weekend. Something told me to call to confirm my reservation. I was told I couldn’t check in until 11pm!! But I was being charged for two days. The lady that answered the phone was very rude! The manger Judy was very rude. She spoke to me as if I was bothering her. I’m glad I was able to find another hotel. I would not frequent this establishment ever! I really tried to give them a chance. It doesn’t help that the pictures they are posted of rooms are suspect. Makes me think they have something to hide.
The Park House Hotel is a borough Park Gem. I received a personal phone call from the manager to confirm my reservation, due to me booking canceling and rebooking just to clear up any concern or confusion. I chose the hotel because of the …
